Why this retreat?
If you've been part of the Out of the Cave community for any length of time, you've probably heard me say this at least a few hundred (million?) times: We are spiritual beings having a physical experience (with an animal brain, in a social context).
While our relationship with food, body image, movement, and our nervous system has always been the vehicle through which we do this work together, none of those things have ever been the destination – they've been the doorway.
As you already know, it’s not about the food. My hope has never been simply to help you change the way you eat; it's been to use the relationship you have with eating to reconnect you with yourself.
Over the past year, returning to one-on-one work while deepening my doctoral studies has reminded me just how profound and transformative this work can become when we have the time, safety, and space to slow alllll the way down together. It has also reinforced something I've believed for a long time: there is simply no substitute for being together in person. Zoom boxes are wonderful when we need them... but there's so much to receive outside of them.
That's why this retreat exists.
**This event is exclusively for current and former Out of the Cave clients. Whether we've worked together recently or it's been several years since we last connected, you are welcome here.**
Each ticket includes:
What you can expect:
This is not a retreat designed to overwhelm you with information or send you home with another notebook full of strategies. You have enough of those (lol).
Instead, I am intentionally creating an experience that allows us to slow down, settle in, and explore the deeper work that becomes possible when we are no longer rushing, worrying, overfunctioning, multitasking, performing, or people-pleasing.
Throughout the weekend, we'll explore themes like:
-
Reconnecting with your body and your intuition
-
Nervous system regulation and creating safety from the inside out
-
Food, body image, and intentional change without self-abandonment
-
Attachment, relationships, and the stories we carry about ourselves
-
Self-compassion, grief, identity, and what it means to truly come home to yourself
Alongside our workshops and group discussions, there will be yoga, mindfulness, journaling, time in nature, delicious meals, rest, laughter, and plenty of unstructured space for the conversations that can't be scheduled. One of the greatest gifts of these retreats is the opportunity to spend a long weekend with people who simply get it. There's something profoundly healing about not having to explain yourself, and I genuinely want you to be able to receive that.
One of the things I'm MOST excited about is that for the first time, we will spend three full days together.
One of the things I've noticed after every retreat is that just as everyone begins to settle in… it's already time to leave. I wanted to create enough space for us to slow down, let conversations unfold naturally, and truly integrate the experience rather than rushing back home. In my experience, healing doesn't happen because we fit more into the schedule—it happens because we finally have enough space to exhale.
